Support

Please first have a look at the Frequently Asked Questions before contacting us, since you probably will find your answer there.

If you can not find your answer in the FAQ, or if you want to report a bug, then please contact us on email address support@bermin.net. Please specify your phone model and version of MobyToday you are using.

Features required on your phone

Java JSR-75 support
MobyToday uses the Java package JSR-75 to access the organiser function on the mobile phone. Support for JSR-75 is needed for MobyToday to work. Below you can find a list of phones which supports this package.

Thawte certificate support
MobyToday is signed with a certificate from the respected certificate authority (CA) Thawte. This ensures that the copy of MobyToday that you are running is genuine and has not been tampered with. It is also needed since the Java platform will not allow access to the phone's organiser and calendar for unsigned applications. Please go here to find out how to check if your phone has the Thawte root certificate on it.

Supported phones

Phones that support running MobyToday on the stand-by screen
All the latest Sony Ericsson supports the concept of stand-by applications. This means that MobyToday can be run as a "wallpaper" on the stand-by screen. The currently released Sony Ericsson which support stand-by applications (as well as JSR-75 and Thawte certificates) are:

Sony Ericsson
W380, W580, W610, W660, W710, W830, W850, W880, W890, W910, V640, K200, K220, K550, K660, K770, K790, K530, K610, K630, K800, K810, K850, S500, T250, T650, Z250, Z310, Z320, Z610, Z710, Z750 series.

Please note that this list of phones are expected to grow significantly since all the coming Sony Ericsson phones are expected to support Stand-by applications.

Phones that support Java JSR-75 and Thawte certificates
The below phones do not have support for stand-by applications but do have support for Java JSR-75 as well as having Thawte root certificates. Please note that some network operators choose to remove this root certificate in order to only allow applications signed with their own certificate to run on the phone. In this case there is unfortunatelly not much you can do (except to nag your operator to remove this unnecessary restriction).

Please note that this list is not exhaustive. We try our best to keep this list up to date, but there are most likely more phones which support JSR-75 and which have Thawte root certificates on them. Please contact us on support@bermin.net if you find that MobyToday works on your phone even though it is not listed below.
